Reset To Recharge

After 30 years it was time to change perspective

I’ve had a long career. Success and failure. Highs and lows. Great runs and very rough runs. A dance through theater, concerts, advertising, animation, video games. Through it all, my passion never waned — it deepened, became more resonant, more essential.

It takes a particular kind of myopic selfishness to stay the artist’s course.

That’s me.

I’m still at it.

New projects. New pitches. Thinking about joining a creative incubator.

I’m out there. But it’s different now. I’m older. Done with the fuckery.

A couple of weeks ago, I was on my way to a pitch event at a convention, and it hit me: I don’t want to hustle anymore. I needed a reset. A new frame of mind. How could I change without betraying who I am?

Then it came to me: I’ve been sowing seeds my whole life. Maybe it’s time to shift from hustling to harvesting.

Thinking of my work — and my networking — as harvesting took the pressure off. It made me walk slower. Think more clearly. Trust the roots I’ve spent a lifetime growing.

Now, I’m letting the opportunities ripen. Letting the right ones come to me. Still working. Still dreaming. But breathing differently.
